"Tommy's Toot" Makes a First Issue Cover Page!
The picture shown below, call sign 62TR, was used as the cover page for the inuagural issue of the newsletter, 575 Hangar Talk, for EAA Chapter 575 in South Africa.
We received an email from Mr. Charles Flee, the editor for the local chapter of EAA. He requested use of the picture, which we were most pleased to be granted permission. We received back the first issue. The issue is viewable in the link below.
Above is a picture published in Model Aviation in June, 2011, p. 39. It is a scale model Little Toot owned by Brad Osborne.
The event for the picture was the June 5 & 6, 2010 Scale Squadron Fly-In held at the Pomona Valley Model Airplane Club field in Chino, CA. This model won 3rd place in the Best Civilian Model category.
Thanks to Model Aviation Magazine for permission to publish this photograph.

Tommy got paid for the cover photo (although he had the mag give credit to his dad.) Tommy was paid $50 in 1975, which would be the same as getting paid $221 in 2013.
