Lots of fixture design and the actual making of these parts.
The Aileron Torque Tube, Rod ends and bearings have been installed.
Welded in the Rod End connectors, and looks very nice. Of course this was after a precisely measured length of the torque tube and cut it to fit.
The bearing surfaces are painted Red now.
The next pictures are of the Torque tube center bearing surface between the front and rear seat.
Phil Witt designed and approved this fixture to help stabilize the Torque tube when "Big Toot" is being flown from the rear seat.
Notice the large ¾" safety washers on each side of bearing.
